Pros

Co-workers are team oriented and great to work with. Great career development tools. They aren't communicated to staff effectively though. I found them on my own.

Cons

Benefits are not great. Bonuses are not good for secretaries. A disconnect between upper management and day to day office hurdles. Problem employees last far longer than they should and cause a lot of unnecessary disruption for the good workers

Pros

3 weeks vacation at start date, better than standard 2 weeks vacation.

Cons

Terrible experience working for the Marketing/Communications department. Archaic firm with terrible values and underpay all administrative staff. Senior management seem to receive some type of tenure where they are never held accountable for their actions and unprofessionalism.

Pros

- Global firm - Sophisticated work - Access to great training and experts in many areas of law - Limited attorney layoffs during the recession

Cons

- Inconsistent leadership across offices - Standard BigLaw cons: focus on hours, challenges making partner, heavy attrition of new partners as the game changes
