Pros

nothing much comes to mind

Cons

company merely cannot produce quality software. Trying to compete in all new technologies - big data, fast data, cloud, applications, appliances etc etc with no focus on core offering. clueless management , driving good talent out of the company.

Pros

Very intelligent, hard working employees

Cons

Upper management seems confused. They are chasing a market that has already been addressed by superior competitors. The founder focuses on his own "vision" and how that vision can help other companies that he is already invested in. His affiliations are obvious. He runs the company without knowledge on how a company works. He has marketing knowledge and vision, but zero business acumen. Employee morale is very low. Belief in the vision by employees is very low. Everybody has one foot out the door. My peers do not look beyond a six month timeframe. Reasons they like there job are "flexibility" and "close to home". Not based on the company vision or technology. No excitement there.

Pros

Agile, nimble like a start-up - but with the large corporate backing/benefits of EMC. Ability to remain mostly independent and drive our own business. New office space is stylish and like a start up we have lots of free food and drinks - including lunch 3 days a week and 2 nights where pizza is delivered and breakfast bagels, doughnuts on Friday.

Cons

Not all employees are located in the newly remodeled space. Additional remodels are in the works, but the company is still split into about 5 different office suites. Teams not a cohesive as they would be if all were co-located.
