Pros

Free lunch on Wednesday. Senior management can sell any idea to EMC. Had a great distributed SQL idea.

Cons

Short sided. Lots of turnover. Putting a little effort into everything instead of trying to be good at a few thing. About 3 years behind other companies doing Hadoop, the cloud, etc.

- Nice first floor - Wednesday hot lunches and pizza 2x a week - Middle and lower management very competent and tallented - Good work/home balance

Cons

- Toxic culture at all levels from administrative to upper management * They compete with each other instead of working together * Too busy fighting for control instead of working together * Good old boys club mentality - Upper management are mainly white males - Minorities don't really gain a whole lot of respect here - Legacy employees treat the new ones differently - they are not old GP and never will fit in - Seemingly sales and marketing focused with limited attention to engineering * Engineering had 1 administrative assistant for 2 years to cover 5 suites and over 100 people * Small cubes with limited privacy * upgraded look and feel to sales/marketing area but not engineering - note the pictures are not where the bulk of the organization was!
