Pros

I have been in the property management industry for 10 years and Greystar is by far the best! As an employee, we have endless possibilities to grow and if you're looking to transfer, there's usually always an opportunity in major US cities. -employee recognition is extremely important for this company. Outside of annual award ceremonies, regional managers, directors, etc. make it a priority to recognize outstanding service. -Endless resources. With working for such a large company, there's a department for everything. There's also the support of other properties and their team members. -Pay is very competitive with other companies. Plus there's always opportunities for bonuses. -Everyone is involved with helping the company to go grow whether it's assisting with due diligences, property acquisitions or training new team member, everyone of every level is involved.

Cons

-accounting department can be difficult to work with as a manager. -help desk system is extremely slow. The company stated they are working on this though.

Pros

You get to meet a lot of people working in the office as a leasing agent. You work on your problem solving skills You do NOT need a college degree to work on a lower-management level but communication and personal skills are a must.

Cons

The entire on boarding process is heinous. Nothing was prepared for my first day and it took weeks to gain access to crucial sites in order to get my work done successfully. Turnover rates are really high - it makes it difficult to know who to reach out for when you need answers. Communication needs improvement: I had no idea I was getting a new manager until they walked into the door on their first day. Low paying wage - there are opportunities for leasing bonuses
