Pros

You have the option to move around as there are openings all across America.

Cons

None of upper management cares about anything going on. They go out of their way to stay uninvolved with anything going on at a property level. I was experiencing harassment issues with my manager so I went to my regional who did absolutely nothing about it. I went to her several times and I was always blown off. Greystar does not value loyalty and does not have any for their employees.

Pros

Some of the people that work there are nice.

Cons

This company is very cheap with their resources starting at the top and trickling down to their Property Managers. Compensation of expenses policy were changed verbally and not in writing by upper manager who wanted us to come out of pocket and use our own credit cards for certain expenses that the company should cover. Company seems to be clueless about this. Also, they are reluctant to put most “policy changes” in writing. So they say one thing and do another. Accounting department takes forever to reimburse expense reports and to pay vendors. Upper management sides with building owners and their poor treatment of onsite property managers, even when their employees suffer because of it. Very BAD place to be a property manager. With the exception of a few people, almost all managers, HR staff and upper management are overweight as the stress of the job causes most to overeat. Not a pretty overall image for anyone who prides themselves in looking good and likes to keep fit. “Lead by example” does not apply here from the top working its way down.

Pros

Sick care insurance? And that’s a stretch.

Cons

The pay isn’t worth the trouble. You “ cannot “ be friends with your Neighbors. Management was a disaster. Expect cutthroat coworkers & terribly unqualified managers. Oh and they’ll keep your commissions when you leave.
