Cons
I’m reviewing here to express my deep frustration and concern after having spent 8 years with Greystar, during which time I have been an enthusiastic advocate for the company. I never thought I’d be in a position where I’d question my loyalty, but the past year has significantly changed my perspective. It’s become increasingly apparent that the top leadership is out of touch with the operational side of the business. The issues arising from rollouts over the last 12 months, such as Dayforce, the Resident Experience App/Bilt, and most recently the Fee Transparency rollout, have been not just inconvenient but increasingly damaging. What has been most concerning is the decision to push these initiatives forward with minimal direction and low to no support. The Dayforce integration, for example, pushed payroll monitoring onto RPMs, created more chaos for accounting(which has consistently struggled for years). The Resident Experience App/Bilt made it nearly impossible for residents to make payments online, and due to poor implementation left team members powerless to assist them, creating incredible frustration for the residents we serve. While the concept of fee transparency is necessary, the rollout process has been confusing, poorly executed, and frustrating, with the initial phase beginning during budget season. The absence of leadership and the "business side" of Greystar during critical calls demonstrates a lack of strategic foresight. The imposition of tedious data entry tasks put on RPMs, who should be focused on leadership and client partnerships, is an incredibly shortsighted decision that is having a negative impact across the board. At this point, I find myself questioning my loyalty to a company that seems to be heading in the opposite direction of the values that initially attracted me here. I am deeply disappointed and unsure of where this is headed. I genuinely believed Greystar was a company I would stay with long-term, but these recent developments have left me disillusioned.
