Top 100 work place in the State of Iowa for many years consecutively. Growing company with awesome plans for the future. I highly recommend this company.

Cons

Pay is competitive but due to local me be slightly behind similar carriers.

Pros

As everyone else has said, family oriented. It may seem a bit stuffy and conservative at first, but after a few days you'll see that there are people having fun while working. GMRC will pay for education for tons of different certifications and degrees. In fact, the current push is to raise our percentage of CPCU's of which the company will not only pay for the classes & books, but once certified, you get a bonus.

Cons

Some upper management making decisions on the fly without proper testing or even asking for other peoples thoughts.

Cons

Very poor leadership in their IT department. Very hierarchical - don't question decisions or act like you have a brain and you will do fine here.
