Thanks for taking the time to give your thoughts, and we're glad you had a good experience during your time at Grocery Outlet. Our Independent Owner Operators are always assessing security procedures & making adjustments as needed, we appreciate the feedback on this important element and will pass along to the Operator.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear your thoughts regarding our job posting/promotion process as Grocery Outlet prides itself on promoting from within. In order for us to appropriately address your concerns we would really appreciate the opportunity to speak with you in person about your experience. The set crew team does travel a considerable amount of time, and it is a requirement of the role, but would like to talk about ideas you may have as consideration for a better balance. Please reach out if you're interested in a further conversation.

A job, not a career

Pros

If you get in the good graces of the right people, there are opportunities for growth. The people who truly care, will treat you like family.

Cons

It's a boys club, positions are often posted with employees already picked, if they even post it. Not what you know, it's who you know. Being an overachiever will only get you more work, not a promotion. The family company feel is fading away; bounces are valued higher then doing right by the employees and stores.
