Pros

Great small store, quick turnover rate resulted in quick progression through the ranks. Learned everything fast with hard work being rewarded.

Cons

Small stores build work relationships easily. Sometimes creates a difficult to work in environment, scheduling is done a week in advance due to unreliability with new fresh employees often working their first job.

Pros

It's great working at a place that gives people quality service and product for a better price; people love it.

Cons

Sometimes you run into shady customers and employees, since low income stores often attract low income people.

Pros

Operators are in it for their own money first - employees are a v distant 2nd. Good first job but don't make a career of this - you simply can't.

Cons

Lots of family working in stores. Dealing with nepitism and undeserving family gets tiring. Lot of work for little pay and you can only move up so high. You will hit a ceiling at one point and need to move elsewhere.
