Not what I expected

Pros

Remote, great benefits, FTO, low pressure

Cons

Big team, both in US and overseas, did not match the workload. Was laid off in 2023 due to company overestimating their value and offshoring jobs. They did salary scale after 1-2 months after starting, changed their compah bonus structure towards the end to allow only provide towards "high performing individuals". Company unclear on their direction nor were transparent on state of affairs even though they claimed full transparency.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with GroundTruth! We're glad to hear you appreciated the flexibility, team environment, and location during your time with us. However, we do want to clarify that GroundTruth has not had operations or an office in Shanghai—or anywhere in China—for many years. While we welcome all feedback, this particular review may not reflect our current business structure or employee experience. That said, we value your perspective and remain committed to creating a positive and supportive environment for all our team members across our active regions. We wish you the best in your future endeavors and thank you again for your input.

Pros

100% employer paid health insurance premiums (for individuals) and other generous benefits and perks Remote-first Lots of opportunity for growth. The culture encourages employees to proactively think of ways things can be improved and then do them. Very minimal bureaucratic red tape Great work-life balance, not a hustle culture for the most part

Cons

Currently in a budget crunch and haven't had an opportunity for promotion or raises in about 2 years. I'm optimistic that we will reach the profitability goal and have a promotion cycle in 2025.
