I only had bad managers during my time here. There's a lot of focus on meaningless details at the expense of things that actually matter. As a regular engineer, you don't really have a lot of say in how things work or what you want to work on. You're assigned as they see fit, even though you may not like the new team / feature to be worked on, but they never ask you what you might like to work on. Management is very strict, which leads to burnout.
