Pros

Culture and collaboration are top-notch. You want a workplace that you are excited to go to, that's Gruntstyle. The CEO associates with everyone. It is a modern workplace. You are allowed to move around and do perform your duty. There's no discrimination. I truly loved it there.

Cons

They need to pay more.

Pros

Learned quite a bit from the store manager when the area manager and HR weren’t threatening to take my job

Cons

Lost my dad a few weeks ago. A week before he passed he was getting a triple bypass which I was there for (all in Michigan) I was unmotivated and almost a zombie for a few days after I closed his casket. I was reqired to work reguardless of the 5 days of bereavement. The first day back I was not myself however an employee wrote saying they were concerned after investigation I was fired. They also value and go above and beyond for military and vet employees but not civilian no matter your work history/experience in retail!

Pros

When it came to the coworkers in the actual store, everyone was friendly and pulled their weight. I knew that if I needed help with something, my assistant manager or my other coworkers would have me covered.

Cons

When it came to chain of command and just corporate in general, they were not helpful or friendly at all. I had a personal experience while we worked an event out of the store, and they were just rude and very inconsiderate. They constantly berated us on our customer service (even though we had no complaints from the customers themselves) and the way we were successfully handling things. Nothing was ever good enough for them even though we surpassed their sales goals that they had set for us. They also would not let us try to accommodate our disabilities. Another coworker and myself have injuries from the military, and we were subject to not being able to take breaks and not try to ease out literal pain because it would "make the company look bad."
