Pros

Pay check, equipment, aircraft, co-workers

Cons

Away from home, to big of company for current org chart. Managers are way to busy to deal with you. Front line leaders are exceptional. Benefits cost a lot of money, but hourly pay is phenomenal so it balances out.

Pros

great dispatchers, nurses and paramedics

Cons

The business model is to get paid by the Bureau of Indian Affairs / Department of the Interior to have pilots and aircraft on standby, NOT to fly patients to hospitals.

Pros

Flight is hard, especially in remote areas, where the nearest decent hospital is 2-5 hours away. It’s literally the Wild West. Lots of skills and autonomy.

Cons

Lot of corp red tape. Rules that make since for a 15-30 min flight, but not for a 2-3h transport. Training is getting better, but really one has to get it on their own. No spoon feeding here!
