Pros

Great pay, schedule, and working with the medical crews feels more like working with family. Absolutely love this place.

Cons

Isolated locations for bases (not all bases). You are definitely doing a lot while on shift. I personally can’t complain but others may. You are responsible for refueling the aircraft at base, de-icing, and loading. All apart of the job. Single pilot IFR can be very challenging.

Pros

Remote bases provide broader scheduling opportunities.

Cons

View flight crew as expendable. Corporate culture produces decisiveness. Gives preferential treatment to RNs (scheduling, time-off accommodations, base choices, etc.), over Paramedics, due to difficulties of recruiting and retaining competent flight RNs. Corporate focus is to now dominate the market, nudging out or merging "competition" rather than sustaining quality care.
