Pros

Overall good company with several tools to support Financial Representatives. Living Balance Sheet is an excellent tool for clients.

Cons

Steps to becoming a Financial Representative with Guardian Life is difficult and not explained/documented well before signing on. Depends on Financial Advisor for a lot of communication but Guardian moves slow. Difficult to get up to speed to actually make any money.

Pros

If you're going to be an advisor start here. They know what they're doing.

Cons

Make sure your advisor isn't a snake. Be a broker for a year not 3 months. They will rush you, they get paid on new agents. Better to make 50% commission (on a $40k salary) as a broker. Then turn on the 80% contract in a year and make 80% commissions at a much higher salary (assuming you're successful). If not you keep your residual income!
