Pros

- Guardian has a relaxed culture with co-workers who are nice and knowledgeable - Unlimited PTO which is encouraged to be used

Cons

- Guardian has a slow promotion process (3-5 years) and provides minimal annual increases and small bonuses. My skills quickly out paced my salary and due to no promotional opportunities it felt like I was being forced to leave. When I brought up promotions with my manager there was no direction and it seemed like my manager had to be promoted first before I could be promoted. - Guardian has a top down culture, not many people push back against their managers at all levels. This can be good, but due to Guardian's high turnover of VPs, business goals were always changing and projects that got started often fizzled out, half complete. - Low exposure and extreme micromanagement depending on manager. At Guardian, your manager holds absolute power over your promotions, if your manager doesn't seem supportive I would suggest leaving sooner rather than later. - Guardian executives/managers never acknowledged the impact of inflation on employee's salaries and provided extremely low merit increases
