Cons

None that I can think of, except that leadership sometimes seems a bit disengagef from the day-to-day running of the business, but I think that's natural. I feel fortunate to work here.

Pros

The people I've met from corporate seem very nice. The Lodge at Breckenridge is a gorgeous property.

Cons

There is always a mad dash to make the hotel look remotely presentable at the last minute when we know someone from corporate is coming. When I was hired I was told that I would receive a 50 cent raise after 30 to 60 days if they were satisfied with my work. I heard nothing after 2 months, but wasn't sure I wanted to push the issue so I never mentioned it. However, even if they weren't satisfied, it seems like there should be some kind of meeting about it. 6+ months later it was time for reviews. I got an excellent review, and the corresponding raise sheet said that my score translated to a 60 cent per hour raise, however I received a 10 cent per hour raise. The GM's explanation for this is that my raise was prorated based on when I started working. This seemed completely unfair. Frankly, I cared less and less about my job at the Lodge from that point on since I felt that the company did not value me as an employee. I mentioned a sexual harassment complaint around the visitors from corporate and, without consulting me first, they made it worse by getting an entire team of guys yelled at for something that one guy did. Then (after everyone got yelled at), when they asked me to describe the guy and I did, they took a wild guess and put an innocent guy's job in jeopardy until I finally went around and apologized for everyone getting wrongly yelled at and talked to the construction crew's boss to let him know that most of his team were completely polite and to try to sort out with him which guy was bothering me and just to please make it clear that I don't like the way he's treating me. The whole thing made me wish I had just kicked the guy in the face as I was originally tempted to. Instead I just hid in a housekeeping closet hoping that he would move to another hallway so I wouldn't have to walk past him again. Very sloppily handled. When I finally did quit. I received my final paycheck, which did not include my PTO. I asked my old manager about this and later received an email saying that I wouldn't be receiving it since I hadn't taken my PTO before my last day. I knew for a fact that this was wrong and was glad to have taken a picture of the PTO info sheet. I emailed HR and they responded quickly saying that I would be receiving a final check with my 11 remaining hours of PTO. I don't know if this was a sleazy way for Rhonda to try to save money or if she just doesn't know policy, but neither is acceptable.
