Pros

I've been working at Guidebook for about 8 months now and I'm absolutely enjoying every moment. Management did a great job training and prepping me for my role with a 2 week outline of my on-boarding process. After those 2 weeks, I started feeling really comfortable with my role. I can definitely see my role and responsibilities grow in the next few months and I'm definitely looking forward to it. My colleagues are really easy to get along with. Over the course of 8 months, I've interacted with everyone in the office and everyone has a great attitude and awesome personalities. Everyone is really easy to get along with. It's not hard to find someone with similar hobbies. We have organized board game nights every month and ongoing card games that happen daily around lunch and after work. We also get together to play video games to relax and just hang out. Guidebook is definitely growing and I definitely see a lot of potential for the company and the product.

Cons

Parking can be hectic sometimes but the office is very close to all major public transportation.

Pros

* Fun events and off-sites * Good perks * Good product * Nice people (some of them)

Cons

There are serious problems in upper management. The culture is something between a frat and mean girls. Previous reviews are pretty spot on, referring to it as a "cools kid club." They give promotions to their friends for roles that they have no experience in. Speaking up about it makes you a problem in their eyes. They make up excuses to fire/let go of people for that reason. There's also dating between upper management if you didn't think things could get messier. They preach "transparency" but know nothing about it. P.S. they also under pay you and expect you to work "start-up" hours

Pros

Great, fun, and interesting co-workers.

Cons

Company can be kind of stuck trying to expand, so that results in not a lot of opportunity once you are there for a year plus.
