Pros

If you bring valuable skills to the table, you will get staffed on a variety of projects and get a variety of experiences. They are pretty good at keeping the workload ~40 hours a week, and I've never seen a PTO request get rejected.

Cons

Good performance is not rewarded in any meaningful way. Each year you will get a performance rating from 1 to 5, and this determines how big your bonus is - and *only* impacts your bonus. Salary is solely determined by job title, education, and years of experience. However, the bonuses are not very big. This year 3/5's got $3000 and 5/5's got $5000. +$2000 just doesn't justify the amount of extra work required to get a 5/5. Salary increases are pretty small unless you get a promotion. Every manager will give you different answers to even simple questions. Management will lie if it benefits them. Multiple people have gotten offer letters saying they will be working in a downtown Sacramento office. After they accept their offer and move, they are told they will need to commute to a Folsom office instead. They have continued to do this to new employees, even after the issue was raised.
