      Pros

      My team is fantastic. My manager is fantastic. I work hard but feel well recognized. I have never been on the bench because I have a highly specialized skill set.

      Cons

      My experience is not universal. I think I’m one of the lucky ones. Also, the Bain squeeze is the worst. Relative to other consulting firms, or even Guidehouse just a few years ago, our pay + quality of life is low and the utilization expectations are high. Also, Bain has curbed promotions. Growth seems pretty impossible.

      Pros

      Work with intellectually competent individuals and there is a good culture of collaboration and supporting team members. Project experience varies, but are often complex and fun to work on.

      Cons

      Weak sales has been a fairly recent trend so can expect to be on the bench in the near term. Hoping things turn around for the sales pipeline to get people staffed. Pay is below market and competitors. Bonus is minimal compared to competitors.
