Pros

- Work with some high-caliber folks with high intellect - Allows people with little to no consulting background to gain experience in the industry - No longer tied to corporate PwC

Cons

- Lack of training - Mostly government work, which is boring - Depending on team dynamics, can be very difficult to gel with team, especially when working with a lot of Type A personalities who don’t really care much about your own growth and development - Company is trying to expand into commercial work but lacks the expertise or knowledge needed to compete with others in the industry

Pros

Nice but overworked people on team

Cons

-Firm is in transition and is not making the right investments in Company Health. -You feel frustrated between trying to win work and the antiquated IT solutions that impede your ability to win that work. -Leadership Uber risk adverse. -we consult with federal agencies to improve organizational management-related areas yet we haven’t used the practice on ourselves. -On-boarding beyond giving you a ID badge and starting pay are a joke.

Pros

Nothing... run far far away.

Cons

A) HORRIFIC LEADERSHIP - The Directors of PS Digital Services have no clue what they're doing, are horrific leaders, and truly enjoy making our lives suck. They lead by fear and panic and literally blame everyone for their mistakes, resulting in crappy morale, 90% churn rate, and a broad sense of worthlessness and insecurity. They've blocked people from transferring, they throw associates under the bus, treat clients like garbage, and yell at us all the time! Absolutely crazy. B) BORING PROJECTS - Due to Guidehouse's insanely high rates, we never win any exciting or innovative projects. Instead, we win work based on who can pay our rates... literally, the most boring projects ever (e.g. tweeting for gov't agencies, basic photoshop work, etc). C) ZERO WORK-LIFE BALANCE - I missed a lot of family and social events... and I had to start asking for weekends off!! D) LOW BUDGET - Everything is low budget, so we have to scrap by using outdated tools, methods, and resources. There's very little DevOps infrastructure in place, so project work takes twice as long to implement. E) LACK OF ADVANCEMENT - There's absolutely no room to grow, my skill sets are underutilized, there's no money for learning new skills/tools or conferences, and the worst part is that all of this is used against me (as if it's my fault) during promotion time. F) WORTHLESS HR – These are truly awful people who suck up to leadership while ignoring serious leadership issues in the company. I tried telling them about the horrific leaders of the digital team and it was used against me.
