Pros
The employee discount was one of the only positives or working here, other than generally getting along with my coworkers.
Cons
The company does not respect the experience and service of people with decades of time at their stores. They would much rather hire a less experienced cheaper kid to do a worse job. They only care about sales staffs ability to sell credit cards and insurance, service for customers is third. A customers value to the company is only by their ability to purchase pro coverage or take on debt to buy gear. The private equity company that owns GC will squeeze all the profit and good-will from their customers till they go out of business.
