Pros

Coworkers all have a passion for music, making it a fun atmosphere most of the time.

Cons

My position paid hourly, minimum wage. Like any retail store holidays are insane. I would be asked to work longer hours on the spot. Working at the door long hours and not allowed to sit until break is tough.

Pros

Buying gear at a discount, is the only positive attribute of the job.

Cons

Pay is terrible, charged for returns, very hard to make decent money. Training is rushed and weak, as is support. Not enough importance is placed on knowledge of gear, many sales associates make up stuff, outright lie to make a sell, and seems to be encouraged by management. They cater to beginners and hobbyists, don't care about building long term relationships with pro or semi-pro players. Owned by Bain Capital, will probably be out of business, soon.
