Pros

Pay is good for people without an A&P. They offer a program to help you get your A&P. Friendly work environment.

Cons

Pay is sub par for those with an A&P. Those who use the A&P program provided must work for an additional 2 years after completion. Manuals are terrible and lack any information on work that isn't considered "Routine". You can only apply to change your position in the company after 1 year at your current position.

Pros

1. 401k Match 2. Pay increases since covid to keep up with market - Still not great! 3. Holiday Pay 4. Overtime is mostly an option. 5. Job Security 6. Having the freedom to quit this place.

Cons

1. About 80% of the mechanics are from Home Depot and Walmart. You will be working with people who cant spell "Wrench". 2. You are a # not a person. 3. If you ain't a "good ole boy", you will retire in your current position and never move up. Be prepared to get a little brown on your nose and play golf with the BOYZ. 4. As a certified A&P, its very difficult to move up since A&P's in this place is like GOLD. They will try and keep you as a mechanic unless you quit. I was cold shouldered on a promotion because they needed a senior mechanic to babysit all of the new employees from Home Depot. Remember that when you apply and ask for the most money possible if you have an A&P. 5. Healthcare sucks, its a high deductible plan like many other companies.
