Pros

This is a fantastic place to get into if you want to stay and grow with a company for a long time. This depends on the type of work you do though. The benefits are overall great, although they were even better a few years ago. The company is a worldwide leader in luxury aviation and you can't help but take pride in the attention to detail that goes into every product.

Cons

Sometimes the organization is slow to change. Especially when it comes to bringing new technology to internal processes. There's always risk in change, but you have to stay fresh! When Gulfstream does finally make a change to processes, it's kind of agonizing and doesn't exactly feel planned out. Depending on the department, expect to always work at least 1 or two extra hours each day (as a salaried employee, your first five hours of overtime are unpaid, and it's pretty much an expectation that you work those five hours). Depending on your department, you may find yourself working 80 hours of work in a week. Management is good about patting you on the back, but not so good about preventing these kinds of work/life balance violations from happening in the first place.
