Pros

Nice historic surroundings...plenty of things to do and close to some nice weekend destinations...work was nice as you could manipulate they overtime without management approval...usually the four ten hour days were nice but Fridays and sometimes Saturdays were needed when aircraft deliveries were near

Cons

Mid level management was like having Ray Charles driving the school bus. There was one manager who couldn't spell and he would send out multiple meeting notices multiple times because he didn't know how to set up a meeting using his email tools. Everything was reactive and not proactive, always putting out the same fires regardless of the redundant process of aircraft assembly. It really depends on how you fit it as to how you'll be treated.

Pros

Solid company with reasonable job security and competitive benefits. Best in class within Biz Jet market. This company has a strong foundation thanks to Grumman and they have leveraged that experience thanks to parent company General Dynamics.

Cons

Overall the management is good but seems to be a common complaint among my peers so there is probably room for improvement. They want to be a "Great Place to Work" but that has been difficult to achieve primarily because in order to remain competitive they continue to chip away at employee benefits. Probably my biggest complaint is within career advancement, unless there is something they are not telling me, I have had a difficult time getting my resume noticed and I have over 30 years of aerospace experience.

Pros

Awesome place to work as you find yourself surrounded by professionals at the pinnacle of aviation.

Cons

You are virtually self insured for medical until you hit $4600.00 then medical coverage kicks in. Prescriptions will hurt if you or any member of your family needs them. What used to covered and paid $35.00 for now are over $260.00 a month. Also any depression medication used to be covered now are full price at over $400.00 a month. So between quadrupled priced medication your self insured virtually.
