Pros

Some co-workers. Svetlana. Nothing else that I can think of.

Cons

Based on what I have seen during my short stay at the company I think the environment is tense and unpleasant. Nahum Guzik is crazy. I saw him yell at some of the managers in front of some Japanese customers at least once. My boss was cool. He seemed nice. The company is filled with Russians, some of them nice and others hard to read. It doesn't take a genius to realize you cannot move up in the company. After all these years the management positions are still covered by the same pieces of the chessboard. When I was in the company I never felt I was really contributing and my potential was close to useless, a sign that tells me you cannot have a career in a company like this one. If they try to get rid of you don't sign anything. Get a lawyer instead.

Nice place to migrate from science to IT

Pros

Company is highly intrested in researchers with Phd degree and scientific achievements as it works on tough tasks at the edge of IT and science. You can get a lot of valuable skills as a lot of highly experienced and intelligent people work there.

Cons

You will have to support a lot of legacy code (more than 20 years), sometimes you meet the situation when nobody remembers how this or that works, but managers ask not to touch this code or continue to support it as it 'may be required in the future'. The career ladder is vague, sometimes it is even difficult to understand who is project manager, senior or just software engineer.
