Pros

Over half the people I worked with were fantastic team players that wanted to win together. Franchisees could be difficult to work with, but I enjoyed the relationships I built with most of them. Pay was decent and I appreciated the perks of hotel points.

Cons

Leadership was a challenge. Most promotions were earned because individuals could regurgitate what senior leadership was leading...with all the "buzz" words. My time with HRB started with it being a relationship business and turned into a transactional business...instead of leading with heart, we were all checking boxes.

Pros

I met a lot of great people. I was a wonderful challenge to help people with the IRS. I felt great pride in being able to put minds at rest when dealing with this Government body.

Cons

Since I was self employed, I worked long hours, often six and seven days a week.
