Flexible hours, but lower pay for those who applied through HR Blocks' tax prep classes

Pros

Fairly flexible working hours - though be prepared for slow times in January - February

Cons

If you apply through HR Blocks' taxprep classes (which you pay for) you will be offered a lower rate of pay. I encountered another employee who tested in that was paid ~14.25/hr During training hours before you come into the office, you'll be paid less. While attending the online 'orientation' type classes i was paid 11/hr

Pros

There is paid learning, so I would get paid to learn about all the new tax rules and implications. Everyone, atleast here in the Alabama offices, seems really nice and ready to help.

Cons

One downside is that if you're just starting out, the process may seem weird and there isn't much explanation as to how everything will work out besides the emails.
