Don't expect you manager to be at one location. They move around to different H&R Block building locations. Which means that if you have questions about something tax related or something else (PTO, etc.) there's rarely any help other than co-workers (if any). Many times its you and one other person at the place. If your planning to become a tax preparer, be wary of co-workers stealing your case load of clients and get very aggressive or lie if you mention something. Side note: The more clients you attend, the more commission pay you receive. Tried to communicate with email with my previous supervisor but it takes about 3 days for a question to be responded to. No benefits are provided here (health, life, 401k). Training is online only and training is virtual through Microsoft Teams and usually at an inconvenient hour ( like 5pm where the building has to be cleaned and locked or during the rush hour drive home). You have to learn tax concepts on your own because no one is willing to help you (even if they say they do).
