After training you get put on the bench until they find a project for you, so there can be prolonged periods of time where you're doing nothing and getting paid. Sometimes they will require you to look for projects yourself, so you're basically on the job hunt again after making it through their training. Also not being on a project increases the risk of getting laid-off.
