Pros
The company has some of the best engineers in the UK and provides consulting services at an excelent standard. They are also involved in high profile jobs and state of the art buildings, which allow employees to get in touch with the latest and best technologies, solutions etc. The vast majority of colleagues are really nice and working with them is a pleasure (and I include here mid-managemen). If you want learn how things should be done, this company could be a good choice.
Cons
Operating with high profit margins leads to projects being understaffed on regular basis and staff being overworked. Management cannot care less. Promotions and salary increases can only be negotiated with the notice at hand. Otherwise, the typical annual salary increase barely covers inflation. Having witnessed a wave of redundancies (a while ago), I can only describe the whole process as Brutal and Disgusting. In the end, you are nothing more than a replaceable cog int he wheel, overworked on purpose, until you break or you give up.
