Pros

Three weeks of PTO per year for full-time employees starting, goes up to four weeks after 3 years of continuous employment. Employee ownership and stock purchasing, plus discretionary contributions, which are not guaranteed, but can be significant. Health insurance is based on salary/hourly rate versus a flat rate.

Cons

Inflexible with salary negotiations for current employees, even after many attempts over many years. Claims to be competitive in their compensation, but they rely too heavily on benefits such as company stock, PTO, etc. that is really only impactful for tenured employees. They provide very little incentive to keep entry- to mid-level employees no matter how good they are, and it is quite disappointing. Many high-performing engineers don't feel as though they are compensated fairly according to their work experience and expertise. It seems like salaries are only based on resume data with no consideration for performance, productivity, comprehension, etc. Location specific - Most entry- to mid-level employees can't even afford to live in Bellevue. Many of us commute from Seattle and either have an hour commute by public transit or have to pay for parking if we drive. I see very few benefits to having an office space in this location considering not many of us can even afford to live there.
