      Pros

      We are some of the first people doing what we do. We clean the joints and the drains on all major bridges in Charleston. We also have two in Myrtle beach and four in Beaufort that is under our care. There are only 7 of us. We are prolonging the life of the bridges. Think of the joints on the bridge as a joint on your finger. If you a solid mass in their you could move properly right? Bridges are supposed to move if they don't over time they will deteriorate faster and become unsafe to use. We also do landscaping, painting, graffiti removal and patch up holes in the bridges.

      Cons

      We work on the roads at night. So you have to be alert. Full benefits, 40 hours but no overtime. I love the crew and teamwork.

      Pros

      Flexible life/work balance. Solid, if not unspectacular compensation package. Great project types. Solid upper management. HDR is a good place to be in long term. Good in house resources for design and learning opportunities.

      Cons

      Location of new office in Dallas. Business attire could be a bit more flexible. A bit too corporate (Omaha drives decisions as opposed to local offices).
