Pros

Worked with smart, hard working people on interesting projects. There was room to advance within the company and a variety of work available.

Cons

At times there was hording of work for a given office. The office I was in was a group of specialists and we were brought in to work on projects from other offices. When work got at all tight, the other offices reserved all their work for their own employees, leaving us out in the cold.

Pros

Very prosperous employee owned company with a CEO that walks the walk and owns it. You'll have good managers and bad one's. stick out the bad ones and they seem to move on away from HDR. Through the 2006 to 2010 recession, HDR actually showed double digit stock value increases.

Cons

Office attendance policy is not valid in the work world we live in today. Requirement that you live in a location that has an HDR office is out of date and is basically a lack of trust between management and direct reports.
