The pay at the Geneva plant is the worst for any manufacturing plant in a wide area. I know someone who has worked there for a long time that has 'capped out' the max salary in their department at a little less than $16 and when they raised their pay only by 60 cents due to the massive inflation, they didn't apply that to the max salary which hasn't raised from what I can gather in nearly a decade. Management had a food drive for veterans where each 3 of the phases participated, and each phase brought over 2000 items, and only one phase won and got to have a lunch brought in for them, there was a lady who brought in $300 worth of items that wasn't allowed to go to that lunch. It brought tension to the plant, and pitted a lot of the employees against each other. They always talk about how the company is expanding and doing great, but the employees salaries are still leagues below what they should be. Many workers tried to get a Union in years ago, but management had meetings and scared the workers enough that they dropped it. Many HDT plants have Unions, this one does not. I've talked to people who have been in Unions in other HDT plants, they said it was noticeably better. Lately, they have been mandating everyone work Saturdays and Sundays, even during Memorial day Weekend(Not Memorial Day], it's never been as bad as it has been recently
