Pros

HNI is a place where people who are motivated and go-getters can rise and advance their career. There are long hours and some after hour work, but realistically, this is now the norm in IT. If you want a place where you work from 9-5 and that's it, HNI isn't the place for you. Great opportunity for those who see and invest in HNI's future. The people who cant adapt to the new reality of IT are the ones who struggle in my opinion. You can't just sit back and do the bare minimum all day and think you'll continue skating by.

Cons

A lot of long hours and the job can be stressful when timelines drive work. Communication is a problem, some people are left out when not deeply involved. But, this is a problem in just about any fast-paced culture that I've been involved in.

Pros

They might be making trendy furniture for the up and coming offices and established ones, but this company is rooted in the past. Crap pay for expectation of 45+ hrs minimum. If you can stick it out - promotions will qualify you for higher pay, but even then you'll be stuck in Muscatine working alongside a company with a fake culture. The facade is strong but once you see through it - you'll see the wizard behind the curtain and will be extremely disappointed.

Cons

Lack of knowledgeable management in tech area. If you're going into be a web developer or similar. You will be towards the top when it comes to tech knowledge.
