The work you put in reflects pay. Good system in play to track professional development. Generally good work/life balance (manager dependent).
Cons
Since department managers run the show, better hope you have a good department manager who cares about your and the department's growth. Not as easy to climb the ladder. Getting expenses paid can be a pain.
