      HNTB does not treat its employees fairly

      Pros

      HNTB has done some impressive work in the past.

      Cons

      Management is very removed from the day to day operations of its workers. There is a huge disconnect between bosses and subordinates resulting in anxiety and stress. Communication is poor at best.

      Pros

      The reason I stay at HNTB is because I get to work with great people and work on exciting projects. Also, unlike most engineering firms that operate on a salary-only basis, HNTB actually pays you overtime when you work more than your 40 hours in a week. This i really feel gives you a tangible incentive to work even harder than you would otherwise.

      Cons

      One of the issues I have always had with HNTB is the fact they have rather uncentralized leadership. I technically work in the headquarters location but much of the management is spread throughout the county at various offices. I really think HNTB would benefit from locating all of its management to the current headquarters location to create a stronger centralized cultture.

      Pros

      They fund education and it is available to all employees. They pay for professional certification testing and renewals. Fast paced and challenging environment. The company works on some very impressive projects in multiple sectors. They make it easy to keep informed on business wide activities. Constantly expanding technology and keeping ahead of the competition. They keep abreast and use some of the newest and best technology available. Great Dental and Eyecare Plans Profit Sharing and 401k plan match Tools for professional advancement provided.

      Cons

      If you're an 8-5'er and just want to put in your 8 and go home, you will not excel here. Dedication is rewarded but that generally means digging in and getting it done when needed. Medical Benefits could use work
