Pros

HOK is a great company and they care about their people. They have great values and support employees beliefs and growth. I have only been here a short time but so far this has been the best company I have worked for and hope to be here for a while. Management is understanding, not overbearing and trust the team to accomplish the goals at hand.

Cons

Large company and with that comes feeling like a little fish in a big pond. Management does a good job and communicating and trying to keep everyone on the same page.

High-end projects hindered by poor management

Cons

-disorganized management. -too many cooks in the kitchen some people do all the work others do little work. multiple managers on a project can not agree on simple documentation strategies like what elevations to include -difficult to collaborate between teams if there is no fee agreement. -poor communication from upper management about expectations and growth. -projects prone to errors and omissions for a multitude of reasons. -a lot of people are not good at documentation so work has to be done repeatedly, and piles up for deadlines -poor design decisions from design team cause multiple redesigns that could be avoided - avoid the facade group
