Easy to get hired and gain experience; software people enjoy relatively flexible hours; laid-back work environment; social events.
Cons
Terrible compensation; mediocre benefits; strong quantity-over-quality mentality; lots of relatives and family members working together; brown-nosing results in more promotions than doing good work; nerds with no people skills become managers; strong reluctance to upgrading software and equipment; abuse and blackmail of H-1B personnel; numerous layoffs; childish, unstable upper management; questionable future; subpar building condition and amenities; constant break-ins and parking lot robberies.
