Lack of direction

Pros

Plenty of camaraderie amongst staff. Synergy between tellers and bankers/RM's for leads and sales. BSM always had our backs. Branch manager was an actual leader.

Cons

Company politics put a damper on overall operations. So-called discretionary bonuses left too much open to interpretation thus leading to apparent unfair bonuses. Higher ups paid little attention to suggestions from staff even when presented on 30+ page business reports with various contributions and detailed executive summaries.

Pros

Enjoyed working with many of my colleagues who come from top-tier universities. Talent pool is deep.

Cons

Highly nepotistic culture. Staffings are given out based on favoritism. Poor pay compared to other banks.
