Pros

Stable job, could be promoted if you are sticking to specific department where senior managers come from, and you still get some learning experiences in a large bank

Cons

Red tape, the culture is too localized (really the world's local bank), not international at all. Very bad salaries for similar post in other banks.

Pros

work life balance laid back and supportive team mates and management Good benefits working in Hong Kong

Cons

Below market pay - i.e the iBank standard Not much learning - if you are in technology department, as most of systems are vendor product Too much focused on "good relationships" and sometimes stand in the way of deliveries

Pros

As a global institution we can support our business and personal customers on an international basis which creates some job security and opens other career oppertunities.

Cons

Very high demands of employess, unrealistic expectations for sales goals. Sr management makes "number" decisions based on a goal they want to attain rather than improvements in existing numbers. There is a big disconnect between expectation and reality.
