Pros

Very large company. They closed the consumer lending division (they had the most jobs, but worste treatment). If you have an advanced degree, you can go far.

Cons

If you have a four year degree and experience, you will still be low-balled in pay. There aren't too many openings for US jobs.

Pros

I think the best thing of working at HSBC is that you learn the basics of sales and have the opportunity to build an iteresting network. The employee benefits is quite good as the benefits have been increased and you can choose what you need.

Cons

Promotions are quite slow and the pace of the retail bank is such that there is little time for training, although a big effort is being made to change this. Also I think the basic salary (pensionable salary) is very low compared the competitors and people is not necessarily rewarded even if is evident you are making more efforts than most.
