Pros

Here are some reasons: 1) Work life balance 2) International footprint 3) Holding up well in current financial crisis 4) Large institution which provides opportunities for latitude of career progression

Cons

downsides are related to the best reasons: 1) Good work life balance traded off for lousy compensation 2) Size of institution means things loss of agility in processes and decisions 3) Not hold enough to take the lead to retain talent whilst it has done well for shareholders through current crisis

Pros

Its big enough to offer security but retains a human dimension.

Cons

Salaries could be better. Also the Bank seems to be headed towards adopting a harder nosed policy towards personnel.
