Pros

- Team mates are great, very talented people - A sense of mission when pursuing fraud, and an intent to do good on the internet. - If solving puzzles through data and forensics is your thing, this is the place. Combating cybersecurity problems is a constant hunt, an ever changing matching of wits vs. fraudsters. - For infrastructure and big-data engineers, there are lots of classic problems of scale and optimization using modern tools. - Has an ambitious leadership team who want to make a "company of consequence." So, big hills to climb, some stress and toil to break into and win new markets, but can be rewarding.

Cons

The company is best for people who are into permanent remote work -- people who can be self-directed and motivated across the long haul without having an in-person community around them. It's a certain stage of startup, and so not for everyone. You have to be ready to deal with ambiguity, a bit of chaos, and frequent change. And it's growing up -- gradually replacing classic startup issues with more structure. Some people who wanted an earlier stage company have left us, some who expected a fully mature company didn't fit.

* Interesting product - botnet detection and mitigation * Making the internet a better place by disrupting cybercrime * Focused - clear area of work and goals * Competent people - smart developers, timely code and architecture reviews * Large scale of data and realtime interactions * Interesting and challenging work * Friendly, warm, flexible company culture

Cons

* Undergoing a transition from startup to more mature company which is resulting in quite a bit of change * Cross-team collaboration and visibility could be improved

As you know a lot of people are drawn to us because of the purposeful work that we do, and it is the same purpose that encourages collaboration. both outside the company ("Human Collective") and inside.
