Pros

Good health benefits, nurses usually are helpful to each other, EPIC is awesome, Omnicells work well

Cons

Poor pay - about $50/hr, poor raises like 75 cents/hr or $1.00/hr a year lmao which is entirely a joke especially if you go above and beyond, consistant call outs and shortages due to overwhelmed nurses, new nurses training new nurses... because NO ONE wants to stay, no LPNs to take the load off of RNs or PCTs, lack of PCTs and patient observes, cheap nursing supervisors who consistently will short staff you on purpose to cut costs (at least thats what we all think), Ratio can be up to 8 wtf? I once had to take 9 and be charge.. on a tele/stroke unit no less, management just pushes higher up agendas. No money for new supplies.
