The worst job I've had.

Pros

The only pros I can even list is you work with some decent people who are all (mostly) in the same spot as you and sympathize with what you and everyone else is going through.

Cons

To start, in this position and as far as I know, EVERYONE is being paid varied rates and all for the same job. Some guy across from me is making $1.50 more than me and doing the same job. Same goes for the other guy behind me, but he's making $1.00 less. The environment in general is cut-throat as mentioned by another reviewer, and it's very evident that the only way to actually move up anywhere is to make friends with people above you, or generally just try to be a giant kiss-up. Oh, and frequently there's a lot of people tattling on each other like children just to accelerate that. The leads and trainers often all stand around doing nothing, and tend to do bit of work during their shift just to make it look like they're doing something, but all ultimately just talk. They don't do any real work until it's time to break someone out for a break or lunch, and this is while they take hour or longer lunches themselves, longer breaks, or just simply disappear in the middle of the shift inexplicably. The workload is so-so, but it's beyond unforgivable how they hold you to a standard of packing things while the conveyor belt is moving at absolute warp speed, and then some lead will have half a nerve to lodge complaints about you not going fast enough or simply moving you elsewhere out of the blue because of that (and the replacement doesn't go much faster than you did anyway). The last and final gripe of mine is COMMUNICATION. The communication EVERYWHERE in this company is just horrible. You won't hear from leads, supervisors, or any kind of higher ups about anything until it's something that's negative and concerns you or your department. I'll personally attest by saying at the start of my employment, I was almost fired the same day because of a false accusation, and an HR employee called me and literally almost spoke out the words to fire me had I not cut her off and asked if she looked at the cameras, or if the other supervisors told her they were reviewing things. She sounded all confused and said she'd get back to me. That small story aside, the communication is a bare minimum in this company that a lot of things, what I just typed included, reflects that. To close this out, you're not valued as an employee at all whatsoever. Complaints aren't taken seriously, and they'll fire you at the drop of a hat for anything because they know they can replace you with a temp worker or someone else in less than a day if they needed to. For all of those out there desperate for a or desperate for someone you know to get a job, just move on. Do not go here for any kind of work unless you have a seriously jaded personality. If any of the management saw their paycheck going over a cliff and yourself and only had time to save one, they would be getting paid that week.
