      Excellent place to work, people come to this site to complain. But my experience was great and deserves to be shared.

      Pros

      * Amazing benefits, they take care of their staff * Making a real difference in my community * Great staff (mostly)

      Cons

      * Some people work here because they love animals, but they can really dislike people too. * Low pay, its a non-profit, so it's expected. But still tough if you don't have a side job.

      You get to work with animals.

      Cons

      The administrative side of Halifax separates it's self from the working staff, because they put themselves as a higher class of people. The management is absolutely under qualified and only hire people whom they can manipulate. They do not care about the animals themselves, they only want to make as much money as possible. The pay is the lowest I have seen, typically around $8.25 an hour. The absolute worst place I have ever worked.
