Lots of overtime. Liked going new places and meeting new people. Was basically in charge of myself set my own breaks and did what was necessary. Company will support your decisions when it comes to dealing with the crews.

Cons

Hours are hard to do long term. No raises, no union, no bonuses,

I was working over-the-road but now that I'm a steady yard driver I like the job much better because the 1st year here there were many gaps in my days of getting work.

Cons

The road driver part is a bit unpredictable and these folks don't operate by seniority, it's more like a first come first serve basis according to who says they are available the earliest and who is determined to have the most rest.
